Help me learn (the steps) to dancing The Jitterbug...?
Where can I find the steps to dancing the popular dance of The Jitterbug and how many variations are there in this dance? I have experience in dancing many dancing styles (Waltzing, Two-step, Line dancing, The Schottish, Others.) I need the physical therapy of dancing as I am told that dancing the Jitterbug requires the movements needed to target the muscles that I need to strengthen. I'm studying how to do this dance step RIGHT. Thanks for valuable help.

- Welcome to the swing dancing community. I like the videos at iDance.net like http://www.idance.net/pack/82 but they cost a little. Google swing and the name of your city or state and get in contact with your local swing community. Nothing beats real classes with lots of different partners and it's a great workout. There are lots of variations on swing dancing: East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Carolina Shag, Collegiate Shag, Charleston, Balboa (off the top of my head)> In Pittsburgh Jitterbug means East Coast Swing, but I've heard that is different in different parts of the country. East Coast takes lower energy than Lindy Hop.
- Since you seem to be into country/western dance already, I'd imagine you can simply get somebody in the local CW dance community to show you the country version of east coast swing, which is essentially the same thing and does exactly the same for rehab purposes. As for variations, they're innumerable. Not nearly so simple as Schottische.
