Is country line dancing a good way to lose weight?
I can't seem to get motivated to actually go out and exercise, but I enjoy dancing and listening to music and was wondering if this is a good way to lose weight.

- Its a good activity - but the weight loss will also depend upon intake.
- Not if the dancing does not get your heart rate up. Its more fun, than it is weight loss beneficial.
- Anything that can get you up and moving is great for loosing weight. Good for you!! Once you do loose some weight, you'll have more energy, feel great and enthusiactic about other things to do to loose even more!!

- Dancing is a form of cardio activity. So when people recommend you do cardio for 45 minutes a day that would count. However you gotta keep moving. You can't dance one song and then sit down for a little...you gotta keep dancing for the whole time to count it as cardio. You know what you can do...hold a campbells soup can in each hand when you dance and move your arms. It would be like lifting small weights. That will help you build muscles. You can also go and buy 5 pound ankle weights and put them on each foot when you dance.
