Can someone describe for me the basic steps of the Kaslamantiano dance done at Greek wedding receptions?
I'm going to a Greek wedding next month and this dance will be done with the guests joining in. I know some Greek steps from line dancing (Zorba line dance...anyone know it?) and am hoping I can pick up a few of the steps of this dance before I go. Thanks! Yes, it would have helped if I hadn't picked up an incorrect spelling from a web site. I found a step guide here: http://www.btinternet.com/~argyros.argyrou/dances/Kalamatiano.htm Thanks!

- I don't know the steps, but if you watch the movie again (Zorba), you can see it. Having spent many nights in Greek restaurants dancing, I certainly know the "line dance" steps! Lots of fun! Here are some videos I found (spelled Kalamantiano) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuCuAenz5jg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkqTinJ7JAU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VH04eawaKio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbdZC1spX7A Good luck, and enjoy!
