- You may be thinking of the "ardha"...its a folk dance, where men performs amazing feats with swords...jumps, twirls, intricate sword cuts...while a poet recites? Or, maybe its the "rhaza"... a dance that was meant to warm up for combat? Two rows of men face one another, clapping, singing and dancing in a lively manner, accompanied by large frame drums. At the peak of the dance two swordsmen perform a duel between the rows of dancers.
